Turkey stock market opens flat, posts small rise

(MENAFN) Türkiye’s main stock index begins Thursday’s session almost unchanged, opening at 12,034.94 points—just 0.05% higher, or 6.10 points above the previous close.

The day before, the BIST 100 edged up 0.04% to finish at a record high of 12,028.84 points, with trading volume reaching 167.6 billion liras (about $3.89 billion).

By 09:50 a.m. local time (06:50 GMT), currency markets show the lira at 43.0555 against the US dollar, 50.4045 against the euro, and 58.0725 against the British pound.

Meanwhile, gold trades at $4,433.50 per ounce, and Brent crude oil is priced at $60.05 per barrel.
