Tinubu sets for official visit to Turkey to enhance Nigeria-Turkey ties

(MENAFN) Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to visit Türkiye on Monday for an official trip aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two countries.

According to a statement from the Nigerian presidency, the visit will focus on collaboration in areas such as security, education, social development, innovation, and aviation.

Strategic discussions are expected to cover finance, communications, trade, and investment, with high-level meetings scheduled between officials from both nations. During the visit, memorandums of understanding are anticipated in fields including scientific research, energy, and military cooperation.

A business forum will also be organized, bringing together investors from Nigeria and Türkiye to explore opportunities for joint ventures and economic collaboration.

Tinubu’s visit follows Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s official trip to Nigeria in October 2021, reinforcing the ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
