Turkey, Iran Hold Phone Talks on Rising Regional Tensions, US Negotiations
Turkish diplomatic sources said the two ministers reviewed recent developments in the region and exchanged views on the status of Iran–US negotiations, which remain active amid growing instability.
The conversation took place against the backdrop of heightened tensions after an Israeli airstrike targeted Beirut’s Dahiyeh district despite an existing ceasefire arrangement. Iranian officials condemned the strike and signaled that a response would follow.
Earlier the same day, Iran’s military stated that it had launched ballistic missiles toward Israel’s Ramat David Air Base, describing it as a key site used in operations against Lebanon.
